Hi, I'm Allison!
I'm so glad you're here. Reaching out for support isn't always easy, and my hope is that from the moment you arrive, you feel welcomed, understood, and reminded that you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Child Development from Emmanuel College before completing my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Children and Adolescents at Northeastern University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts and use evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy, to meet each client where they are.
I believe that no two people are the same, which is why I tailor therapy to each individual's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. My commitment to continued learning allows me to provide compassionate, effective care while creating a space where clients feel understood and supported.
I've always been someone who feels deeply for others. Being a therapist for me is being an anchor for people when they are struggling and helping them find hope even when it feels impossible. I truly believe everyone deserves a space where they can feel accepted, understood, and never judged.
Working with children, adolescents, and young adults is especially meaningful to me because these years are filled with growth, change, and self-discovery. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients during these important stages of life, helping them build confidence, develop resilience, and realize they are capable of so much more than they may believe.
I believe that the foundation of meaningful therapy is the relationship we build together. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable being your authentic self. Therapy should be a place where you can laugh, cry, ask questions, and show up exactly as you are.
My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), meaning we'll work collaboratively to understand your experiences while developing practical skills to help you move toward the life you want to live. I strive to balance empathy with encouragement, offering gentle support while helping you recognize your own strengths.
Clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling lighter, smiling a little more than when they arrived, and grateful for having a space where they can simply be themselves. I strive to create a place where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow.
When I'm not in the therapy office, you'll often find me exploring a local coffee shop or farmers market, trying a new baking recipe, cooking for loved ones, or curling up with a cozy blanket. I believe it's the simple moments of comfort and connection that help us recharge, and I bring that same sense of warmth into the therapy space.
